We had an exceptional stay in August 2025. Shlomo was prompt and thorough in responding to the many questions our diverse group conspired of teenagers and you and older adults presented — we were travelling from New York and Asia. Reservations and directions to the Inn were seamless. Shlomo was onsite to greet us and get us settled into the three rooms we took. All rooms were nicely appointed and clean with nice views. Shlomo did a great job of helping with walking tour planning and directions — and the Inn even provided towels for our visit to the Mikvah Ari! The Inn is centrally located in the Old City and so we were able to take in all the sites with ease and not a ton of walking. The highlight of our stay at the Inn was the bountiful breakfast Leah prepared for us — deilghtful and fresh Israeli salads — and she worked really hard on yummy dishes for our group members with a bunch of food allergies and sensitivities. We enjoyed the spectacular view of the Old City from the terrace. Leah and her dedicated helper were as gracious as could be. All in all, the Artist Colony Inn was a highlight of our trip. For anyone looking to experience the magical atmosphere of Tsfat, while enjoying peace, breathtaking views and crisp mountain air. The Artist Colony Inn is the perfect place for you. The suites are clean and beautifully maintained set within charming ancient stone building surrounded by orchid with terrace overlooking the stunning mountain Miron landscape. the hosts are warm, welcoming and attentive. highly recommended.!

This place is gorgeous! Also, they always had delicious snacks, breakfast, the most delicious homemade food! Leah and Shlomo treated us like family! I hope to go back to Artists' Colony Inn frequently on my visits to Tzefat!!

IMHO, this is the best place to stay in Tzfat. I was just here this past weekend and, as always, the vibe is truly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful and totally comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and healthy in a sun soaked atmosphere, the location is perfect for exploring the Artists Colony and the Old City, and I could not have asked for more wonderful hosts who make everything happen.

Wonderful Stay -- Strongly Recommended ! Our family (with 2 teenage kids) had an utmost delightful stay at this charming inn. Simply one of those fantastic travel experiences! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warm, friendly, and gracious hosts — the inn is run by a wonderful family. There are no employees, just family, and that personal touch makes a great difference.

The accommodation was incredibly comfortable (we had among the best night sleeps ever) and felt very safe despite there was supposed to be a war going on during our visit. Our room (Room Avital) was cozy and well-appointed. Our mature teenage kids were so excited about this place! This Inn offers everything we needed for an enjoyable stay from accommodation, to local info, to meals, etc. We felt secure and at home throughout our stay, which is so important when traveling with family.

The City of Safed itself is also fascinating to explore, and we learned such great info and stories from the hosts, and that certainly adds to the enjoyment of our stay. The communal meals allowed us to meet other guests from different parts of the world, and we had a very enriching experience.

The location of the inn is also very convenient. It's easy to explore the City from here, yet it provides a quiet and peaceful atmosphere for guests to return to.

We felt incredibly well taken care of and are grateful for the warm hospitality we received. We would highly recommend this inn to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming, and memorable place to stay in Safed. It's truly like home away from home.

We had a great stay. Well priced for a clean room with a lift and rear exit with access to main Streets in front and rear with balcony. Breakfast was included and was perfect and cooked to order each morning at a time of my choosing.

I give the service and cleanliness 5 stars. The breakfast was an excellent added bonus .

Perfect location, privacy, clean and fresh, feels like staying in a beautiful home not a hotel...

But wait...all that's without mentioning the HOSTS. They are exceptional. We immediately felt like we were staying with relatives!

A truly beautiful and unique experience getting to stay at the Artists Colony Inn. We were welcomed in with so much history, beauty and art where Leah and Shlomo guarantee comfort and bliss. Would recommend the inn time and time again. If unsure of things to do, Leah has great recommendations for tour guides and all the hidden gems in the area. A must for anyone visiting Tzfat!

The hospitality that Shlomo and Leah showed us during our stay was second to none! I would recommend staying here if you are in Tsfat or the surrounding area. Amazing place and people!

We are so glad we found the Artist Colony Inn during our recent three nights visit to Tzfat. The Inn common areas are fantastic with beautiful gardens and amazing views, this place is magical, absolutely gorgeous, clean, private and more. We felt right at home. Leah and Shlomo are wonderful hosts, full of information about the city, the customs. Leah even took us on a private tour around the Old City, including the ancient tunnels and many shops full of history.

If you are looking for a place to stay, this is the place.
