This week, the quiet magic of Tsefat welcomed a new kind of guest — a film crew capturing scenes for a deeply moving story about a Holocaust survivor whose journey eventually brought her to our hilltop city.

The film tells the true story of a remarkable woman who survived the Holocaust and went on to build a vibrant life in Israel. Over the decades, she lived in several cities across the country, but it was in Tsefat — during the final ten years of her life — that she found a spiritual home. She had one beloved daughter… and no fewer than eleven grandchildren, each one a living legacy of her strength and resilience.

We were honored that the Artists' Colony Inn was chosen as one of the filming locations. Our historic stone walls and winding courtyards provided an authentic setting for scenes that reflect memory, survival, and quiet triumph. Watching the film crew bring her story to life in the very place she once walked felt both powerful and deeply humbling.

This story is more than history — it’s a testament to the Jewish spirit, to motherhood, to generational strength, and to the soul of Tsefat itself.

We can’t wait to see the final film and to share more as it nears release. Until then, we hold this experience close.

With gratitude, Shlomo and the Artists' Colony Inn team
